Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Phlebotomist in Burlington, MA for a 32-hour weekly schedule. Under supervision, you will draw blood from pediatric to geriatric patients, perform waived testing, and assist with clerical tasks to prepare specimens for laboratory processing.

Essential duties include venipuncture, sample labeling, and documenting lab requests, with the potential for additional testing such as urinalysis and ECGs as required.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months phlebotomy experience.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association or agreement to obtain within one year.

Responsabilidades

• Perform venipuncture and finger sticks for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Spin blood and prepare specimens for courier pickup and laboratory testing.
• Perform dipstick urinalysis and collect urine and throat culture specimens.
• Perform urine pregnancy tests and stool hematest; assist with electrocardiograms, spirometry, and other routine tests as needed.
• Document and process paperwork for third party billing; label and prepare samples for transport.
