Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Per Diem Phlebotomist for Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital on-site. You will collect blood samples, handle pre-analytical steps, and coordinate with lab staff to ensure specimen integrity and timely processing. Requirements include a High School Diploma and a Phlebotomy Technician credential is preferred.

Hospital lab experience and CAP/I.C.A.R.E. competencies are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Staff adheres to all I C.A.R.E. Standards.
• Must demonstrate annual CAP competencies in any area that they work.

Responsibilities

• Obtains blood specimens from patients following established procedures.
• Registers, labels, centrifuges, and aliquots specimens per policy.
• Sorts, stores, and delivers laboratory specimens to the appropriate section.
• Interacts with staff and clients to resolve specimen issues and communicate status.
• Answers calls and provides assistance as needed.
