Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensures accurate patient identification, labeling, processing, handling and transport of specimens.
• Assist in patient care during emergencies and provide rapid responses as needed.
• Explain procedures to patients and address concerns to ensure satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot common specimen and order issues within the work area.
• Provide training and education to new staff as assigned.
• Handle sharps and biohazardous materials per regulatory requirements.
• Operate computer systems and comply with HIPAA regulations.
