Job summary

Labcorp in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist for casual, PRN coverage. You will perform blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, prepare specimens, and enter data accurately.

Travel to additional sites may be required and flexibility for overtime is expected. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training (or 3 months+ experience).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Other Duties as assigned
