Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our PSC in Fredericksburg, VA. The role involves performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages, collecting specimens for various tests, and accurate data entry.

You will also process billing information, maintain logs, and provide excellent customer service. A high school diploma or GED is required, and phlebotomy certification or training is needed, with potential travel to additional sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other Duties as assigned
