Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at our Richmond, VA site. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, with a focus on exceptional patient service and accurate data entry.

We offer a casual–PRN schedule with hours “as needed” Monday through Saturday, travel to additional sites as needed, and opportunities for growth within Labcorp’s comprehensive benefits program and inclusive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other Duties as assigned.
