Job summary

Labcorp in Alexandria, LA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient‑facing team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, enter data accurately, and support billing and specimen processing.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training, or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience. Travel to additional sites and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Color blindness test clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
