Job summary

Labcorp in Alexandria, LA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections, prepare specimens for testing, and maintain accurate patient records while delivering exceptional service.

The role requires phlebotomy certification or equivalent training, high school diploma or GED, and the ability to travel to additional sites if needed. Mon-Fri 8:00 am-5:00 pm with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• 2 years of experience
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited agency in lieu of work experience
• Proven track record of delivering strong customer service

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
