Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to join our Sterlington, LA team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary methods for all ages, collect specimens, and enter patient data accurately. Travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Phlebotomy certification or training program or some phlebotomy experience (3 months or more) is required or preferred.
• Proven track record in providing excellent customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for various tests.
• Enter patient information accurately into the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs for patient data.
