Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join a Patient Service Center. You will perform skilled specimen collections, provide exceptional customer service, and be the face of Labcorp while supporting growth opportunities within the organization.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, specimen handling, data entry, and traveling to additional sites as needed. A high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training are required, with potential for overtime and a supportive benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months experience as a phlebotomist.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service and strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Other Duties as assigned
