Job summary

Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist in Port Charlotte, FL. This contract position offers 3 months with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 7am–3:30pm.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, data maintenance, and safe transport of specimens. Minimum 6 months venipuncture in a fast-paced lab plus a valid phlebotomy certification are required. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience.
• Pediatric to geriatric patient experience.
• Phlebotomy certification as required by state.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen labeling.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure chain of custody.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Update patient information and maintain accurate records.
