Job Juncture in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a contract-based phlebotomist for a 3-month assignment with potential for permanent placement. Schedule: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm. Benefits are available.

The main duties include performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with lab protocols. Candidates must have 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience and be able to work with patients from pediatric to geriatric populations.

Formación

• 2-4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience required.
• Pediatric to geriatric experience required.
• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform blood draws and label specimens per protocol.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and store per temperature requirements.
• Ensure test requisitions match labels and maintain specimen integrity.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend trainings.
• Answer inquiries and communicate results as needed.
