Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have completed phlebotomy program or medical assistant program with phlebotomy training.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Registered Phlebotomy Technician (AMT) within 12 months of hire or Phlebotomy Technician Certificate within 12 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and accurately identify members; collect blood samples via venipuncture or capillary puncture.
• Instruct patients on collection and packaging of other specimens.
• Process specimens, prepare and arrange transport per procedures and DOT rules.
• respond to inquiries and provide training to new hires; maintain a safe, organized work area.
