Job summary

LRSolutions, LLC seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Columbia, MD. The position requires 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric exposure, with a M-F 8a-5p schedule and a projected 3-month duration with potential for permanent hire.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, maintaining records, and ensuring specimen integrity per protocol. Prior OSHA/DEP compliance is expected.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients and/or other specimen collection tasks as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store according to required temperature if needed.
