RRC Solutions Group is seeking a contract Phlebotomist in Columbia, MD (M-F, 8a-5p) with 2-4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric settings. The role involves blood draws, specimen labeling, and adherence to safety and transport protocols.

Projected duration is 3 months with potential for permanent placement. Responsibilities include performing venipunctures, documenting maintenance data, and ensuring specimen integrity.

Qualifikationen

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.

Aufgaben

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Ensure all test requisitions and labels match scripts for accuracy.
• Package and transport specimens as required.
• Store specimens at required temperatures and comply with OSHA/DEP regulations.
