Job summary

Labcorp in Hammond, LA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-centered lab team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques, ensure accurate data entry for patient records, and provide courteous, professional service to all patients in a fast-paced clinical setting.

This full-time role requires flexibility to travel to additional sites, adherence to safety and quality standards, and compliance with vaccination requirements or approved accommodations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent phlebotomy training or 3+ months experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• This position requires you to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or qualify for accommodations.
