Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Minden, LA. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections for patients of all ages, prepare specimens for testing, and ensure accurate data entry and documentation.

The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, adherence to safety protocols, and reliable transportation to travel to additional sites as needed. A high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or training are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
