Job summary

LabCorp in Slidell, LA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-focused team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques, collect specimens for drug screens, and enter patient data accurately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; phlebotomy certification or training or 3+ months experience.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or eligible for accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when required.
