Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist in Monroe, LA to perform venipuncture and specimen collection with strong patient service skills.

Responsibilities include data entry, billing support, and travel to additional sites as needed while maintaining accurate logs and high-quality service. A phlebotomy credential or training program is required, with preference for 1 year or more experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
