Job summary

LabCorp in Campton, KY is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections, collect specimens for various tests, and ensure accurate data entry and patient confidentiality in a client-office setting.

The role requires phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program, a high school diploma or GED, and strong customer service skills. Occasional travel to other sites is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency for those without work experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to pass a color blindness test.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel to additional sites when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
