Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Lagrange, Kentucky. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, specimen handling, and accurate data entry.

You will support billing processes and maintain strict logs, while delivering exceptional patient service and working both independently and with a team. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of phlebotomy experience; 2+ years in outpatient lab settings preferred.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy skills and ability to collect blood via venipuncture and capillary techniques for diverse patient populations.
• Strong customer service mindset and ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff.
• Good written and verbal communication for accurate data entry and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
