Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Lima is seeking a Phlebotomist for the Lima Medical Office Building 750 W High. You will draw blood samples, prepare specimens for testing, and perform clerical tasks to keep the laboratory running smoothly.

Respectful patient care, accurate patient identification, and data entry are essential as you support testing workflows and travel to off-site locations as needed. Phlebotomy certification is preferred but not required; HS diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred but not required.
• One-year phlebotomy experience preferred but not required.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for testing.
• Order entry, result look-up, report generation, and answering internal/external calls.
• Identify patients accurately and ensure patient safety.
• Data entry and processing of specimens (labeling, centrifuging, splitting, freezing) per test orders.
• Clerical duties such as inventory checks, stocking supplies, and answering phones as needed.
• Travel to off-site locations as required by the role.
