Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Southfield, MI. The role involves performing venipuncture and capillary collections for patients of all ages at multiple sites, with data entry and billing responsibilities, while delivering exceptional customer service.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a phlebotomy certificate or equivalent training, and be able to travel to additional sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
