Job summary

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Patient Service Center in Howell, Michigan. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm with alternate Saturdays 7:00am–1:00pm, providing blood collections and specimen handling for diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities include performing venipuncture and capillary draws, entering data, processing payments, preparing specimens for testing, and traveling to additional sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or accreditation acceptable in lieu of work experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to additional sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques.
• Collect specimens for drug tests, paternity tests, and alcohol tests.
• Enter patient information accurately and manage data entry.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing.
• Maintain patient and specimen logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.
