Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Macomb Township, Michigan. The role entails blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques, data entry, preparing specimens, and providing exceptional patient service.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with Saturdays on a rotating basis, and opportunities to travel to additional sites. Phlebotomy certification or current training is required, with preferred experience in phlebotomy and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
