Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at 22250 Providence Drive, Southfield, MI. The role involves venipuncture, specimen processing, and delivering excellent patient service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include data entry, handling billing information, and occasional travel to additional sites. A phlebotomy credential or completed training is required, with opportunities for growth within Labcorp’s network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience (preferred).
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
