Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at St. Clair Shores, MI. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, specimen handling, and ensuring accurate data entry.

Travel to additional sites is required. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or completed training, with preferred 1 year of phlebotomy experience and strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include high school diploma or GED or equivalent and phlebotomy certification or completed training or 3+ months experience as phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification/training from an accredited agency is required.
• Strong customer service, communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision are emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately in the system and process billing information as needed.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
