Job summary

Labcorp in Oxford, Michigan is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Patient Service Center team. You will perform blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages, ensuring accurate labels and timely processing of specimens as part of our diagnostic testing workflow.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or relevant training, with strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
