Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Akron team at 1925 W Market St, Akron, OH. You will perform blood collections, process specimens, and deliver high-quality patient service in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires a phlebotomy certification or training, a high school diploma or GED, and flexibility to work Monday through Friday with possible overtime. Pay ranges from $17.75 to $25.92 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience as phlebotomist required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.
