Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at My Community Health Center in Canton, OH. This role involves blood collection, patient service, and data entry at our patient service centers or client offices.

You will travel to additional sites as needed and provide accurate specimen processing with a focus on quality and customer care. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or training from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
