Job summary

Labcorp in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-service team. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections for patients of all ages, deliver friendly service, and help maintain accurate specimen handling.

This full-time role normally works Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with rotating Saturdays. We offer competitive pay, a quarterly incentive plan, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
