Job summary

Labcorp in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. This role performs blood collections and specimen processing with a focus on delivering excellent patient service. Schedule is Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with potential Saturday variation.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or equivalent training, or 6+ months of phlebotomy experience. Travel to other sites may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or training program or 6+ months experience as phlebotomist required.
• Preferred: 1 year or more phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
