Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and venipuncture following age-related standards and departmental procedures.
• Demonstrates AIDET model and prioritizes patient safety to reduce errors.
• Receives and reviews physician orders and enters lab tests in electronic systems.
• Communicates post-phlebotomy care and test results to patients and staff as appropriate.
• Records and processes specimens to maintain sample integrity (labeling, centrifuging, packaging).
• Maintains accurate documentation and adheres to safety and biohazard policies.
