Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Flowood, MS team. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary methods for patients of all ages, data entry, and handling patient information with accuracy.

You may travel to additional sites as needed and provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced laboratory environment. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training, and prior phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program preferred.
• 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist acceptable in lieu of certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis and maintain logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
