Job summary

Labcorp in Jackson, MS is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary methods across all ages, enter patient data accurately, and support billing processes while delivering outstanding patient service.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a phlebotomy certification or completed training, or 3 months+ of phlebotomy experience; preferred is 1 year+ of phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or a phlebotomy certification or training; or 3+ months phlebotomy experience.
• 1 year+ phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for tests and documentation for processing.
• Enter patient information accurately in the system.
• Assist with billing information and payments as needed.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs.
• Provide excellent patient service and support in a clinical setting.
• Travel to additional sites as required.
