Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our Jackson MS team. Responsibilities include blood collection, specimen processing, data entry, and delivering excellent patient service.

The role may involve travel to additional sites; 1 year of phlebotomy experience is preferred, with a required high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training. Work hours are Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm, Fridays 8:00am–12:30pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
