Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Jackson MS. This role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques, patient data entry, and providing excellent customer service in a clinical setting.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or GED, and phlebotomy certification or training, with 0-12 months of experience; a minimum of 1 year preferred. On-site schedule is Mon-Thu 8:00am-4:30pm and Fri 8:00am-12:30pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
