Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at 2001 Santa Monica Boulevard Suite 765W in Santa Monica, CA. The role involves blood collection, patient service, data entry, and travel to additional sites as needed.

Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma and a California CPT license. Preferred candidates have 1+ year phlebotomy experience and may be bilingual in Spanish and English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT).
• In lieu of state license, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
• 1 year or more phlebotomist experience with geriatrics and pediatric patients.
• Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collecting payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
