Job summary

El Rio Health is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect blood samples, process orders, and prepare specimens for testing across multiple clinic sites in Arizona. You will provide excellent customer service to patients and work within a professional, safe laboratory environment.

Responsibilities include venipuncture for all ages, quality control, order entry, and timely delivery of results to clinicians. May require travel to other clinic locations and adherence to safety and regulatory policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certificate from accredited school for Phlebotomy.
• Current BLS certification.
• Level I fingerprint clearance card (or within 7 working days).
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license per AZ requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws by venipuncture for all ages.
• Monitor quality control of supplies and equipment at drawing sites.
• Greet patients and check in onto the schedule and collect co-pays.
• Input laboratory orders into EHR/LIS and retrieve results as requested.
• Deliver stat or critical results to providers and maintain logs and documentation.
• Travel to other clinic locations as needed.
