Job summary

El Rio Health in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Phlebotomist. Schedule: Tue–Fri 10:00am–7:00pm, Sat 8:00am–2:00pm. Pay range: $17.57–$26.35 hourly, depending on experience. Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen processing, and interfacing with lab and patient services to ensure quality care.

Qualified candidates will have a phlebotomy certificate and at least 2 years of related experience. Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred. Must have BLS and transport capability as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certificate from an accredited school preferred.
• Two years’ experience as Phlebotomist or Medical Laboratory Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood by venipuncture for patients of all ages.
• Monitor quality control of supplies, equipment, and laboratories.
• Enter orders and results in the electronic health record system.
• Greet patients, collect co-pays, and manage postings with accounting.
