Job summary

El Rio Health in Tucson, AZ seeks a Phlebotomist to collect blood samples, prepare specimens, and process laboratory orders. You will provide excellent customer service to patients and internal staff while supporting the laboratory department. Salary ranges from $17.57 to $26.35 per hour, depending on qualifications.

Monday through Friday schedule; occasional travel to other clinic locations. Must have High School Diploma or GED, Phlebotomy certification and BLS; bilingual English/Spanish

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification and/or 2+ years experience as Phlebotomist.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws by venipuncture for all ages.
• Monitor quality control of supplies and equipment.
• Verify insurance and manage practice management tasks.
• Greet and check in patients, collect co-pays and postings.
• Prepare specimens and provide instructions for collection.
• Maintain logs and hygienic work environment.
• Deliver results to providers and staff as needed.
• Travel to other clinic locations when required.
