Job summary

Labcorp in Chevy Chase, MD seeks a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques across all ages, while ensuring accurate data entry and proper specimen handling.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or equivalent training. Travel to additional sites may be required; exceptional customer service and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or training or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist.
• Able to pass a color blindness test.
• Willing to travel to additional site as needed.
• Excellent customer service and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
