Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Bethesda, MD. The role involves performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, ensuring accurate data entry and exceptional patient service.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training, and flexibility to work overtime. Travel to additional sites may be required; Labcorp offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Excellent customer service and strong communication.
• Ability to travel to additional site as needed, reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other Duties as assigned.
