Job summary

Labcorp in Chevy Chase, MD is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, specimen handling for various tests, and accurate data entry of patient information.

The ideal candidate will have a phlebotomy certification or completed training, with 3+ months of phlebotomy experience; flexibility for overtime and strong customer service skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Other Duties as assigned
