Job summary

WellSpan Health in Chambersburg, PA seeks a dedicated Phlebotomist to join the Lab Services team. You will perform venipuncture, EKGs, and vital signs, while handling clerical tasks and specimen processing in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program, CPR certification, and strong customer service skills. Proficiency with Meditech and computer literacy is preferred.

Qualifications

• Formal education in a medical assistant and/or phlebotomy program.
• Experience in customer service is required; phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and typing; familiarity with Meditech is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy for all age groups and ensures proper specimen handling.
• Completes phlebotomy competency and quizzes for policy/procedure.
• Performs EKGs and records vital signs as needed.
• Handles clerical duties: data entry, specimen accession, and supply maintenance.
• Communicates with nursing regarding patient status and tests.
• Offers orientation support and teamwork to ensure workflow efficiency.
