Job summary

Uniontown Hospital is seeking a laboratory support professional to collect blood specimens, perform outpatient EKGs, and coordinate specimen processing. You will ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, and documentation while supporting the lab team in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of a phlebotomy or related program; six months of phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Phlebotomy Certification Course, Medical Assistant Program, or nursing program graduate required.
• Six months phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and other specimen collections as directed.
• Conduct outpatient EKGs and assist at Outpatient Center.
• Prepare and process specimens and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
• Operate Cerner Lab System for order entry, specimen tracking and results reporting.
• Maintain patient safety, HIPAA compliance and accurate records.
