Job summary

LabCorp in Madison, AL is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-focused team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, enter data accurately, and support specimen processing with professionalism.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, and phlebotomy certification or training; 1 year of phlebotomy experience is preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential, with reliable transportation and flexibility

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; phlebotomy certification or training required.
• At least 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Color vision test acceptable for the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
