Job summary

LabCorp in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages and provide outstanding customer service to patients.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy training or certification, and the ability to travel to additional sites as needed. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:30am to 5:00pm, with a 30-minute lunch.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
