Job summary

Labcorp is a global diagnostics leader seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Florence, AL team. As a frontline member, you will draw blood via venipuncture and capillary methods for patients of all ages, collect specimens for drug screens and related tests, and ensure accurate patient data entry.

You’ll handle specimens, assist with billing as needed, maintain logs, deliver compassionate customer service, and travel to additional sites if required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience.
• 1 year or more phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
