Job summary

Labcorp in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections across age groups, enter data accurately, and prepare specimens for testing.

The role requires a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or training; 1 year of experience preferred. Work schedule is 4 x 10-hour shifts (2:00 AM–12:30 PM) with rotating weekends, and opportunities for growth at Labcorp.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program preferred (or 1 year+ phlebotomy experience).
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
